EMDS User Forum 2019
Posted Feb 19, 2019
The Ecosystem Management Decision Support (EMDS) system is a state-of-the-art application framework for designing and modeling spatially enabled decision support systems. EMDS supports the environmental analysis and planning functions at all geographic scales and resolutions. EMDS offers a wide range of modeling technologies including logic-based reasoning, priority analysis, decision trees, Bayesian networks and other decision modeling technologies, fully integrated with the latest geographic information systems (GIS). This combination provides explicit, practical decision support for both strategic and tactical planning as well as adaptive management. EMDS is a general purpose, spatially-enabled framework, and can be applied to an extremely broad array of spatial problems."
On Tuesday, April 16, 2019 we will host the first annual FREE online User Meeting, “EMDS- Going Forward Forum”. This forum will feature presentations by:
Steve Paplanus – Mountain View Business Group, LP
Keith Reynolds – US Forest Service
Bruce Miller – Rules of Thumb, Inc.
Philip Murphy – InfoHarvest, Inc.
Clive Spenser – Logic Programming Associates, Ltd.

The goal of this User Forum is to update users on the latest features in EMDS and discuss future development directions. Your inputs are critical to make EMDS a product that can be a key tool in supporting your business needs.
The event will start at 8:00am USA Pacific Time, 4:00pm GMT. We expect the webinar to run about 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on user submissions. The Forum will be using Adobe Connect. There is a free download for that, but users without Adobe Connect will want to join the meeting about 10 minutes early to install the app.
We invite you to participate directly in the Forum by presenting your EMDS application and future plans for EMDS. To get a spot on the program, or more Forum information, please email
